Just thought I'd give a heads up to say these boards aren't all bad news. I was very concerned when I ordered (it was part of ocuk's bundle), however it seems to have turned out alright:

I'm sure the majority of them work, it's just that those that do have no need to post on the forum.

Could really do with a poll or indicator of people's 1155 setups and if they've had issues, etc.

Anyways....that's me done ;)

Glad to see you've got sorted. Interested to see what BIOS version you're running and what you settings are in BIOS to get 4.6 stable.

Sorry, I'll read the thread next time. Mine shipped with the pre-release BIOS, so didn't actually try the 0804...

Just about to build mine this morning, so fingers crossed...

Already done the battery remove thing and I've got the new BIOS ready to go on at first POST.

What should I set EPU and TPU to?

My build has been faultless. To be honest i thought "oh dear new tech im in for some pain" and its been great so far...

I didnt reset the cmos unless I had issues. I did it to correct the ram issue.

EPU and TPU Ive got them both on but all on extreame/performance settings.

Sorry yeh it's 0804, which I believe is the first official release. I can't remember the exact settings for my 4.6, but I'll have a go:

Bclk manually set to 100
LLC set to Ultra
Cpu vcore to 1.285 (shows up as between 1.296-1.3 in cpuz)
Cpu turbo additional voltage set to the lowest setting. 0.004 I think.
Cpu PLL set to an increment below 1.8
All spread spectrums disabled. Keeps the bclk nicely nailed down.
All other main voltages set manually to default (or just above)

I'm wondering about enabling EPU as well. Good luck with the build though mate and let us know if it all goes to plan, we need some more good stories about these boards! :p

Had the Deluxe version a week myself, worked perfectly so far.

Had it benched at 5Ghz with ease, and after a few runs I'm got a good feeling i can get 5.4-5.5.

Well.. its all built and no issues so far

Cannot install AI Suite though - it crashes before the installer even gets going. Doesnt matter whether I use the version on the CD or the downloaded up to date version? Any ideas?

Theres a patch lieing around in the Asus forums and Hardop forums with a fix. Try installing the one in my Asus Update link.

If your still stuck drop me an email and I can send you the fix.

Got the patch, still wont install.

I'm guessing you're running a 64bit OS. In that case the AI suite on the cd won't run. Just download it from asus website and make sure you choose the OS you're using

I'm on a 64bit os (win7) and AI Suite II installed perfectly from the disk....then I later uninstalled it, because it's annoying :p

Its good at adjusting OC settings and monitoring fans etc. I just leave it running in the background.

Fox you liking the board? (told you it would be fine :P)

Alright chaps, My build is working perfect, too, 2600k on Asus P8P67 Deluxe, with 8 gig vengence ram, Overclocked it to 4.5ghz at the moment, the only issue i have my Creative X-Fi extreme music works, but it does not sound as good as my old rig? the volume seems very low
