With AMD drivers and now this (if true) what are they playing at, they'll just hand the market to Nvidia for the next 2 years.
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

If they want this to be successful, they need to:
- drastically reduce the temps to 980 levels or lower
- at least 10% better performance than the 980
- cheaper than the 980
Even that would be pretty dissapointing. The 980 will be have been out 9 months by the time this comes out!
Honestly, I don't know why people keep going on about the drivers, just look at the last 5 or so pages in the nvidia driver thread.... neither are any better than the other.

Very disappointing if true.

What I don't understand is if its just a re-brand why didn't they just pull the 290X months ago and re-release this card as the 390X? Surely by waiting this long all they have done is lost more sales. This just doesn't make any sense to me.![]()

Well it absolutely has to be reworked somehow (ie cooler and lower power draw) otherwise it is completely pointless.
