RAIDR Express is the world’s first and only PCIe-based SSD the features two BIOS chips and an onboard hardware flip switch, letting you alternate between legacy and UEFI modes, ensuring the
best compatibility.

In legacy mode, the RAIDR Express can be used on older motherboards — those with traditional (non-
UEFI) BIOS. Flip to UEFI mode, and you can significantly boost the startup time of your PC. You get the flexibility of choosing which mode is right for you, and make the best of both.

Key Features:
• DuoMode: First legacy and UEFI BIOS-compatible PCIe SSD
• Driver-free design with complete TRIM support
• RAMDisk: Double up on speed with RAM and SSD
• SSD TweakIt: Take control for faster and longer-lasting storage
• Secure Erase: Back to brand-new performance

So this is the future. First the Revos, then the Machs and now these.

Would love to have a go with one of these someday, if I can ever afford one :D

Finally the RAIDR arrives! Great to see you guys getting this in... Great price too but can't justify it compared to the 840 EVO on T.W.O. lol :)

I imagine it's only a matter of time until 8 pack puts these (and the Mach Xtreme) through their paces! :D

Rapid mode is artificial. If you check the results of ATTO you will see what i mean. Yes it has its advantages but they dont make the drive 10x the speed, perhaps maybe only 1.1x or so.

This is faster technically.

If this RAIDR Express proved the most reliable and excellent performance.

I just read it, it now put me off. Pretty bad. Samsung Evo is the way forward I think.

That provides 4 images where the drive doesnt do well from a selection of benchmarks. That post couldnt be more bias if it tried. If you want to believe that sort of thing then let me know. I will show you a selection of benchmarks where the EVO performs as bas as a HDD if not worse than a HDD if you really like. Then we can all see how bad the EVO is based on how your observation was made on this?

I found another review which confirmed those results. The Raidr is better than regular ssd's in sequential only, slower in everything else. I think there's a reason it wasn't given to many review sites.

Maybe so... Worth also mentioning that RAPID mode uses some physical RAM to achieve its speed!

Are there plans for 8 pack to put these (and the Mach Xtreme's) through the same tests & benchmarks as the other SSD's he did recently?

They shall indeed be put through some sort of paces soon. When however I couldnt say.
