Asus Rampage problems....

I also have a slight problem with this board if anyone knows the answer?

When I cold bood I get this message "Error! The CPU to Bus ratio or VID configuration has failed" although if I F1 and exit and carry on into windows the pc is 100% stable, just this message at the beginning of every cold boot. I can't seem to find a fix for it and its anoying me. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

I had the same thing, for me upping vcore a tad cured it. But it was stable at the lower volts.

Zdb not sure if it will help but, there is a new bios out for the board, 0408.

Not sure if I'm allowed to link directly to it as its in another forum. But you can goggle it or if you want I can PM u the link, just let me know.

I tried what you suggested. I have tried higer vcore. I even dropped the overclock down to 4.0mhz and upped the volTs to 1.4v @ 4.0.!!! to be stable it only needs 1.3v to run 4.1mhz so I dunno whats going on?. I have dissabled the F1 error in bios for now so it will boot into windows anyway till I fInd a solution :-S

Its a bug with most of the ROG Asus boards, My Rampage Extreme does it aswell if i turn off the power at the wall. Leaving the board powered seems to be the only fix at the moment.
