A quick peek at THE overclocking motherboard of choice for the new incoming Intel Core-X CPU's.

After using the Z270 Apex on LN2 etc, which was amazing to work with i'm hoping the X299 version will be just as good.

The ROG boards, imo, always look better than their STRIX counterparts but not this time. That APEX is fudging hideous lol. Extreme is nice but sack paying that much for a mobo.

For most that buy this board will only be concerned with one thing and thats how it performs. If you want all the bells and whistles gets the extreme, gamers the strix and for extreme OC the Apex.

Looks is totally down to personal preference. I have tried the board it's very solid.

Apex and SOC shoot out from you in the future ?

not sure if ASRock/MSI have a similar styled board that ditches features for OC scores ?

Asrock has oc formula which is looking very strong on memory.

At the moment Asus is way ahead and asrock second on the xoc side of x299 boards. Asus have some truly crazy innovation going on.
