I have built many systems proir to all the OC that is now the norm, I can safely say these boards they are now releasing are so simple to achieve good overclocks with quads or duals. Its very simple and does not require much thought apart from following mostly auto settings.

On the x38 formula just dial in the fsb and the strap and q6600 3.6ghz is fairly painless. As to going higher then voltage adjustments come in and so does a little complexity, but if you want a little more omph for your money then dont baulk at something you think might be above you its not.

These sort of boards are easier than you think to overclock. Older boards like 680i dont clock quads well easily vdroop etc, but these newer boards have factored in quads more, allowing clocking with 4gb of mem as well.

Thanks for the info, TheBiznes, when im sitting here holding my smoldering motherboard or slightly melted processor i'll think of you :D

I'm just kidding, cant wait to geeky with somthing new, and curse MS for selling me a copy of vista :)
