I like the ring stand but I wanted something more sturdy and with a flush 0 angle for my eyefinity setup.
I started by tinkering around with a can of soup an old book and black duct tape. I did not want some permanent Frankenstein deal. When I am not in eyefinity I am quite happy going back to the normal mount.
In the end I stumbled across this fairly simple and flexible solution. It is very stable I can set it at whatever angle I want and I dont have some uneven heavy weight teetering back and forth through the ring stand.
I think a 5 pound weight would have worked well also since the monitor is so lightweight.
