Just bought this motherboard, and are planing to oc. But then I got this response to a post on reddit:
"I do not recommend overclocking with that motherboard at all. The software and hardware for that board are not up to par for a CPU as power-hungry as an overclocked 8700K."
Is the motherboard bad, or is it just bullocks? And would it have been better to go for tuf z370-pro gaming?

Setup: Cpu: 8700k Cpu cooler: H212 evo (planing to upgarde) Memory: 16 gb 3200 mhz Motherboard: ROG STRIX Z370-H GAMING GPU: 1070 PSU: RM650x

I think they are full of it. By all accounts it's a good board. Course you realise that it is probably overclocking itself? Asus z370 boards arrive with MCE enabled in the BIOS which runs the CPU to 4.7GHz on all cores. I would switch that off though, since it was at least in it's early life unreliable, and overclock manually. It boosts overall performance by 10% but drastically increases power consumption and heat.
