Asus ROG Swift PG35VQ

Thanks for your advice dude I really appreciate it, my 2080ti arrives tomorrow.
It’s so much for a 27” monitor but all the reviews say it’s awesome!!!

I did see a video with an asus rep saying the 35” will be a little more than their 4K 144Hz panel! Which is crazy!

It's a bit crazy spending that much on a 27" monitor if you're then going to spend even more on the 35" a couple months from now... or just end up suffering extreme buyer's remorse. The XV273K is available now and is 'only' £900. That might make more sense. It's Freesync but should work no problems with Nvidia now of course. Personally though, I'd just get any old cheap second hand monitor to tide me over until the PG35VQ is available.

I do find it odd they had it had on show just the other week, but unless I missed something I didn't see them provide a definitive release date or pricing. That is somewhat concerning. Other monitors were announced with official release windows. Asus may not be confident of releasing the PG35VQ as soon as they would like. I don't know why they'd keep back release info otherwise.

Still depends if they want stupid money if so then I won’t bother and have to go back to the drawing board.

So frustrating......

@fantasticCG If you're really desperate then just keep this between you and me but why not just 'borrow' an already used one from Amazon? Not new though, plenty of used ones already on there that can be sent back after a month for a few quid ;) (they pay no UK tax, I have zero remorse about doing that with Amazon). Nothing exotic, just something worth £100/200 that will just get you by :)

And then when you get the Asus it'll be alllllllllllll the sweeter

Very interesting indeed! I’ll have a look and see what’s occurring! ;)

I think it's perhaps optimistic to think the PG35VQ will be available within a month. In fact I'd put money on that not being the case. Your idea is sound otherwise though... done that myself before lol! ;)

Yeah he might have to do it a couple of times, but to get the monitor he absolutely wants it's worth the faff around imo.
