I've read that you can get this cable free if you buy this psu am I correct?.
You cant I contacted Asus and this was thier reply, thats why I returned the THOR V2 its useless. https://ibb.co/FWPsT47I've read that you can get this cable free if you buy this psu am I correct?.
As far as I know there is no Native 12VHPWR support on the Thor V2 PSUs. Only Loki PSU which is what illl be getting. So you have to use the adapter anyway? This is the only reason I’ve pre ordered the Thor 1600w. Isn’t that one of the main selling points?
Looks like I’ll be cancelling my pre order then. Thanks for the info.As far as I know there is no Native 12VHPWR support on the Thor V2 PSUs. Only Loki PSU which is what illl be getting.
Bit of a strange one really. The place I ordered mine from told me I wouldn’t need to use the adapter with the 4090 and although over £700 for a psu is a little over the top to say the least, I really don’t like the thought of using an adapter so……Might as well get a seasonic for cheaper if this is the case. There is a cable in the box but I think it's more for the 3090ti, as I've said I'll buy the cablemod cable that plugs into the psu for the 4090 in case I get one, cablemods has confirmed that I can use this cable with my 3090ti.
Yeah it’s a great psu but was assured it came with the cable for the 4090. I will contact the place before cancelling just to be sure.I'm happy with mine the Braided cables are nice, free cable combs and the oled is great to see your power draw, I was very surprised by that.
It’s not a native 16 pin connector, into the psu it’s 2x8 pin. It's not a adapter it plugs into the psu.
What have you asked them if you don’t mind?Asus has just emailed me for proof of purchase and my address so ill update when i know more.
