Asus RT-AX58U - Weird internet speed issues

I have a gig internet line, if I connect directly to the ISP router, I get a gig, if I connect to the asus router which is then getting the outside world through the ISP router, my PC reads 500mbps. Yet if I check on the asus router it's self, it can also test 1gig...

So anyone know why this Asus router is limiting my internet speed to half?

Do you have any QoS settings enabled on the Asus router? I had to disable QoS on my older Asus router as otherwise the maximum download speed was about 300.

Found the issue, forced mesh mode to use 1gb over lan rather than wifi. Solved!
