I am hoping someone has encountered or knows how to fix this.

Recently I was getting horrible performance through this router, so thought to update the firmware and see if it fixes the problem.

However, a new problem then became apparent, and that is whenever the router connects to the internet, the Web UI completely crashes and becomes unresponsive.

The only way to get in and manage anything is to then disconnect the internet, and restart the router.

Did a manual firmware update and this problem still exists.

Has any come across this, and worst case, whats the current go-to high end router.

After a quick set of emails with Asus, the router is being sent back and a replacement sent out.

Seems the replacement is a Rapture AX-6000.

Was going to suggest trying Merlin to see if the same issues crop up but good on Asus for sending a replacement, quick comparison it does seem to be slightly newer.

Tried Merlins firmware also, the fact Asus were so quick to arrange a swap suggests they know its a problem that cant be end-user fixed.

The replacement turned up, same issue.

Ordered a completely new router and different model. Same issue.

Have tracked it down to their QoS implementation. Disabling that has completely resolved it.
