Asus Sabertooth P67 B3

oh well done ocuk im going sabertooth p67 now for sure. Also great thing about this board is the inteligent cooling feature, i have ordered all antec pwm tricool fans and the antec kuhler h2o 920 which is also pwm which basically means this mobo will be able to adjust the cooling as temps go up and down, fantastic :)

just read the spec fore the board and it allows for 2 pwm fans, 1 being the cpu so ive opted out to get the cheaper p8p67 instead, the sabertooth is a nice board in that it has heat sensors and lower temps ect but for me thats not enough i would have like to see more pwm connections. It seems all of asus boards currently only provide 2 pwm at the most, so even with the p8p67 pro im still no better off but atleast its cheaper i suppose

So is the board worth considering to get over the Asus P8P67?

And will all the Thermal Armor work or is it all a gimmick?

I do like the look of this board.

its not just a gimmick, like the sabertooth x58 the p67 version is also tested vigerously and the components are higher quality. The p67 handles heat better and keeps temps lower than all other asus mobos below its price. It is worth it if you want lower temps but for me id atleast want see something a bit more, maybe more esata 6gb ports or pwm fan connections

Buy it...full stop !!!

Best motherboard I have ever used. Overclocking is a bit easy these days tho LOL!!

2600K 1.47v @5Ghz (50x100) / Sabertooth P67 B3 With assist fan / H50 Push/Pull / XMS3 1600 / Idle 38c Load 65c

Boots into windows using 53x100 but it needs TOOOO many volts for my liking..will work on that over the next few days.

Great MB and the armor plating...my god I love it !!!.

i did end up getting the sabertooth p67, no idea how to overclock it yet... i want to get my cooling setup right first as atm i only have 2 exhaust case fans 120mm and 140mm and a pwm 120mm pushing air on my scyth ninja 3 heatsink. My plan is to fit two 120mm pwm intake fans to the front, 1 on the side door and replace the back and top export fans with pwms and buy splitter cables. I also want the antec kuhler h2o 920 cpu cooler when it comes out this month

Good choice, bang for the buck is what I say !!!!.

Happy clocking, I'm at 5.3 - 53x100 1.47v and trying to get me a decent sub 7 sec Pi score for the club LOL :-). Max temps are around 62 now which is better.

i dont plan to over clock mine much... 4.5 will be all i need, i dont mind pushing it further than that if its not expensive on the electricity bills... my pc is on 24/7

Do any of you guys use the Asus Ai Suite?

As when im gaming i get temperature warnings regarding the USB3.02 and the PCIE2?

Temps get to 70C,not sure what to make of this as the board is designed to stop high temps with components.

Yes, I Use AiSuite for looking at temps/voltages. I don't get any temp warnings even after long periods of gaming at 5ghz. My temps for the sensors you have alarming are at 36/22c idle .

Do you use an assist fan ?

No as i will have to take off my cooler to fit it,as i bought a 50mm fan after i fitted the board.

My case is no doubt the culprit.

Im getting a new case soon so i will fit the fan then i think
