Hi everyone, this is my first post. I've just built a Windows 7 (home premium) HTPC in a Streacom case. All's well. Except I can't get the driver to install for My new Asus Xonar Essence STX sound card.
I have fitted it in the case and have the power cable connected. I can see the card in the Device managers. I've down loaded the 64bit win 7 Driver from Asus website (approx 10mb - rar. file) and saved to my desktop.
Right clicking on the "Multimedia Audio controller" in device manager and selecting update driver and pointing to the desktop just doesn't work. It says windows could not find the driver for your device.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
I'd be very grateful for some help please
Thanks very much
