I've had my stiker about a year now and yesterday morning it wouldn't turn on just posted the infamous "CPU INIT" error on the LCD poster. I've read this can sometimes be sorted by placing some PC2-5300 in and resetting the CMOS when it boots.

Has anyone had a similar problem and solved it doing this?

Or is it worth replacing the board with a newer, more stable board? I've not been very impressed with the overall performance of the striker so replacing it won't keep me awake at night.

Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum :-)

I remember someone else in another post recently saying they got this problem and they took out the battery for over 3 hours as advised from somewhere else (specifically 3 hours) and he put it back in and the board worked. Not sure if that'll help or not, just wanted to mention.
