Asus, what is ROG?

Ok I've aa fancy Asus mobo and it has ROG. I'm looking for a GFX card should it have ROG (meaning Asus only) or not?

It looks like some brand for high spec ASUS stuff. I even have a ROG button on the MOBO
 
Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's essentially a marketing ploy for Asus' high-end, almost enthusiast level hardware & accompanying tools and software

A lot of it is at the higher end range of products and it certainly aims towards that market.

As with any product out there do your research and get the best bang for buck. The guys on these forums will be able to help with any query you may have if you need guidance

And to your original question, no you don't need to get a rog specific graphics card :)

i have a asus ROG board and the rog is just a name for thier high end products.
you can put other brand products onto the the board same as any other boards.
i have a gigabyte graphics cards in mine and all is fine.
 
The ROG stuff are really good products.

You pay a premium though,

Personally i'd go with other manufactures, im not an asus fan.
 
Saver tooth boards are one of the best boards I have used I have a 990fx r2 and 990fx r1 they are 2 of the best boards I have ever had not a single problem with them at all the ROG boards are a premium board for high end overclocking

While the sabertooth is a good board, i personally feel you can get better for the money..

In the current gen the UD4H and Z87X-OC are the sabertooth beaters in my eyes.

And the 'Poo brown' Sabertooth does? Haha! I joke..

I don't see why you think this, they are stunning looking boards. A few of 8-packs systems have the X-OC's bigger brother (the Force) in them. Tell me they don't look stunning? :)

I can't stand looking at PCB, tracers and other crap. It just looks awful.
