ASUS X53Z HDD Password

Hi All,
Someone gave me a laptop to look at as he forgotten the password, i assume windows. It not, it the HDD password
So after reasearch this is my last resort before I tell him to buy another one. This is what i done.
Taken the CMOS Battery out.. left it out for 30 min and hold power button to drain power that left in there for 1 min (Battery not connected to the back)
I can't even get in the BIOS. I'm pressing or hold F9
ASUS logo comes up, then asked for HDD password, I press ALT + R to reset, But i am not getting date up like i seen on video to start a reset.
It also Says press Esc for Master HDD password. again he Does'nt know this one.
Any last resort you guys can think off??

I Just removed the harddrive i am now in the BIOS.. so am i guessing it the HDD and that it screwed?

i also can see the date, seem to reset to 2008.. can i used that date?

So what do you mean pen drive? put windows on it and wipe the drive etc.. i try the above let you know..

I have one here lol so if i put windows 10 on the usb.. will that be ok for this Laptop? or too slow?

I put the pen drive as no one boot.. bit it keep going back to the password scree on rebbot.. not the pen drive...

I think i need to buy one.. any recommendation on what drive to buy ?

No.. the BIOS says 1st boot pen drive..
No nothing like t hat.. i have massive external drive but it got a lot on, also a lot of space left lol

Can i use my own PC as it seem a sata coonnection, sorry i been out of touch for like 7 years.. this is the drive below thou one i got wrap in foil..

Right, ok he agreed to get that drive you have recommended. Will be here 2moro.
Ok so have a windows 7 serial key on the bottom of his laptop, if i go to microsft that key will not work as it belongs to a manual factor.. so can not download the ISO. He would like window 10. To my knowlege it not free is it???
If it is.. how would you recommend i get it or windows 7 ISO.

*For future refrence if anyone come across the same issues. If you can't get in the BIOS. Take the drive out, boot and press F2. But i can't get it to boot from the Pen drive if the hard drive is plug in*

Hi Doug, drive up, windows 10 currently installing. Will windows 10 have all the drivers.. or have i got to go to asus website to get them all
