asus x99 deluxe and 00 code

hi guys came home today and my pc wont boot to bios and just shows 00 code
any ideas where do I start

Was it OC'd ? Did you change the clock/voltages recently?

I'd be tempted to go for the ram first and clear CMOS.

Well , my x99 pro died resulting from 00 codes ( still not officially sure what the fault was ) which are not Allocated as error codes according to the manual . Test ram 1 dimm at a time , reseat CPU and the usual PSU Test ... Does any of the fans spin up in the zero zero code ? Any mem ok lights ?

00 is usually CPU related I think

Hi guys everything lights up Inc all on board status leds and case fans the codes range from 76 to 62 then 00 then reboots and does the same etc? Tested psu changed memory about and tested gfx card one good note it's now getting to the BIOS screen before reboots or freezes and shows 4 dims so memory OK so could be cpu or mobo

Not overclocked at all clearing cmos has helped a bit

Have you tied running the system outside of the case?

00 is usually dead CPU or an issue with shorting / contact on motherboard. Now as your getting as far as 62 the CPU is not dead it would appear, but maybe PCI EX lanes on CPU are damaged.

I would try out of the case warping can cause this as can over tight CPU coioler. Is it actually stuck on 00 or does it go 00 reboot ...... b2 00 reboot??

b2 is actually where its reading GPU bios and initialising VGA.,

Thanks guys seems to be OK now as I had put a temporary cooler on as my swiftech h320 failed, removed mobo and cpu and put it all back together might of been a tight cooler or warp in mobo

I did read somewhere else guy with same issue overtightened his cpu cooler, slackened them off an hey presto it posted.
