ASUS Xonar DGX

I am looking at picking one of these up in the next couple of days but wondered if anyone has used one with a MSI Z77 MPower board? The reason for me asking I have seen a few posts on here with people having issues but they all seem to be on a Gigabyte board.

Also do you guys tend to disable onboard audio when installing a sound card?

Yeah I keep seeing issues but I think they are fixed after a BIOS update. Could be wrong.

Best practice is to disable in BIOS and remove all traces of the other driver.

Hate doing BIOS updates tho in case the thing goes wrong :/.

I use to have the Xonar DS on my old set up and ran desk speakers off the onboard and my Kave's off the DS so I could switch between the two. Just hope that wouldn't be a problem this time around.

a bios update on the card for some cards used on Gigabyte motherboards.

Ah right thanks for that I should be alright with my MPower then
