Hi, my proposed new PC build motherboard, an ASUS Intel Z790 ProArt, has no SPDIF output and my speakers have SPDIF only connection so I need a way to get a SPDIF output. I have two queries on the ASUS Xonar SE 5.1 PCIe gaming sound card.
- I noticed a review comment on the Overclockers site about the ASUS Xonar SE 5.1 PCIe gaming sound card not having a Windows 11 driver. The review comment is several years old now and as far as I can see ASUS did eventually release a newer driver. Interested to hear if anybody is using this sound card Ok on Windows 11.
- The installation manual is very vague, do I need to connect case audio header cable to the card? If so I assume I lose the audio output on the case ports and hence it will be difficult to plug the headphones in round the back of a PC.
