The gaming plus one can house an extra M.2, has an extra fan header, and has better audio and more audio out options. Depending on which model you're referring to, possibly the Prime is DDR5 whilst I think the TUF is only available in a DDR4 version.

Thank you. Very helpful . I was comparing both DDR4 models

Asus prme Z790-P WIFI D4

ASUS TUF Gaming z790 Plus WIFI D4

The TUF Gaming also has an extra USB 3.1 socket on the back whilst the Prime seems to have an extra header for an additional 2x front USB 3.0 sockets (4 total fronts but as 99% of cases only have 2x USB 3.0 sockets it seems negligible)
I cannot see any other differences other than those which MickeyFlinn and Monsieur Jack mention :)
It has been difficult to ascertain any real-world performance attributes as these are so new; I am in the market for a DDR4 z790 board at this very moment and am going videoblind™..
Are you looking at any others PaulII?

Oh and the price - seems the TUF can be upto 100.00 more expensive, and that is a lot of Denaro for an extra m2 port!

Prime is their entry level brand
TUF Gaming is their mid-range

Boards are very similar so it's up to you if some extra audio options, an extra fan header and USB port are worth £80-£100 more

I'm using mATX so only had the option of their Prime brand. Mine also has fewer power phases, but it seems to handle my 13900k well enough (but then I'm not overclocking due to mATX form factor and prefer quietness).
