at last, 5600 - 7600GT WOW!

I must admit these cards are preety good, hit the sweetspot in the market for some, definetly great bang for buck considering it beats x850xtpe's and ultra oc'ed.

Canny choice of card there, sunlitsix. Fantastic performance for the price, these are going to be massive sellers :)

how do these compair to sapphires X1600XT cards, would it be worth buying X1600XT or would one of these be better overall? (plan on getting crossfire or SLI motherboard, depending on which gives best performance for cost)

7600GT gives far better performance. The rival ATi would be the X1800GTO but that costs a fair bit more and performance is about equal/ possibly the GT slightly in front though it does depend on the game. The GTO may possibly be modded to X1800XT but this hasn't been tested yet and the cost is too much considering the price of a 256MB XT anyway. This is a very good bang for buck card, the 7600GT.

thats awesome performance from the 7600, i am thinking about getting the same card (the xfx xxx version) cant think of a better card for the price!

Top card there mate good one I will look at getting one for my SFF I think :D
Totally agree. The lack of power consumed (no external power connector) and low running temps are ideal. I feel this is an ideal time to once again link to my zalmanised 7600GT (Leadtek) :D

i did abit of overclocking last night, got an extra 40Mhz out of the core - so 630Mhz. i haven't tryed the memory yet :)

temp wise its a very cool card, currently idleing at 43°c, highest ive seen it at is 51°c

edit :- the card's memory is now at 1680Mhz, with no artifacts to be seen

I have an Antec Aria - 300w PSU and it has no issues. As long as yours isn't a no name or a qtec I think you should be fine. What make is it? What else is it running right now?

Also, remember that mid-range cards from this gen take up far less power than the previous gen's top end cards :D

Dell PSU's are solid mate. That same PSU will be be used in their XPS systems - both yours and their can come with a 7800GTX so you will handle a GT with ease :D
