Last week,pc just wouldnt boot,at first it got to bios and then restarted and then it died complelty, would not even go to bios with just ram cpu and pci videocard(Rather than my bfg) brought a new psu,it now boots, had to reinstall windows, after installing windows,it did a diskcheck on the restart and find some corrupt sections(was doing this last week too) has both the hard drive and psu gone?? or did the windows installion just get bonked?

Any help would be most gratefull

my setup is

amd 4200+
abit an8 sli
Geil ram
Hiper psu now replaced with a jeantech 500w
Samsung spinpoint 250gb sata hardrive

Could it maybe be the motherboard?

i tryed running hd tune and it detected a damaged block right at the beginning, could this be a sign the drive is on its way out?

Make sure you select the "NTFS Full Format" option when installing Windows, rather than quick format. If the corrupt section is still causing trouble then try a low level formatting using the HDD utility that can be downloaded from the manufacturer's website. If that doesn't help then there is not much else you can do me afraid.

it wont even low level format, and when using the disc software off the samsung website,it scans and gives these errors so far
c:4508 h:1 s:383 Errorr drq timeout
