ATA-6

Hi all

I'm looking to upgrade the HD in my laptop, and have seen two suitable drives by Hitachi, one is the 7K60 and the other is the E7K60. There is a couple of pence difference in the price, but from what I can see the 7K60 is ATA-6, and the more expensive E7K60 isnt....Both are 60Gb with 7200rpm 10ms seek times.

What is ATA6 (i understand its a Mb/s boost thingy) and will it work in my laptop!?

Atm I dont know...I need to whip the cover off and let you know, as the Interweb is not being very helpful..

I'm pretty sure its a Hitachi Drive in there atm..

Latop model is Asus A2500D (A2D series) if thats any help
