While playing COD yesterday, I noticed the PC would have a 5sec freeze repeatedly every 20sec or so. This is the first time this has happened. After shutting down COD and taking a look at the event log, I was suprised to find about 50 consecutive errors in the system tab, with the source labelled as 'atapi'. The event description reads 'The device, \Device\Ide\IdePort1, did not respond within the timeout period.'
I am guessing this has some relation to my hard drive...please correct me if not. I'm currently running two Seagate 80GB drives in a RAID 0 array and a single 40GB IDE maxtor. There have been no signs of HD problems on either of the drives during general OS operations, and this only seems to have occured after my COD session last night.
Are my drives about to fail, or is this nothing to worry about?
With slight relevance, there was another error in the event log before the ones mentioned, this time titles 'CDROM' with the description 'The driver detected a controller error on \Device\CdRom1.'
