ATI 120hz problem fixed yet?

Any of u with 120hz monitors with ATI cards, is the problem fixed yet? I'm still clinging on to my CRT til the problems with 120hz at lower resolutions are non-existant, nothing i have read suggests as much which tbh is pretty lousy for a company like ATI to have this problem for so long.

Nope, i bought my lad a 120hz monitor and a 5770. He wanted the Monitor so he could play CSS at 120hz and he's gutted. I doubt ATI will fix this problem any time soon as there's not many 120hz monitors out there. If Nvidia release a comparable card both in price and performance to the 5770 I might buy him one.

They are expected to support 3D soon, so they'll need to fix it for that.

strange , a friend claims to play @ 120hz on his 5870 with no problem

New drivers 10.1 due any day now are meant to include 3d support so I guess the 120Hz will be fixed in them.
