ATi 3650 Problems

Hi,

I've put together a PC for my flatmate today using a Gigabyte GA-EP31-DS3L motherboard with an ASUS EAH 3650 SILENT MAGIC graphics card.

When I turn it on, there is no signal from the monitor, I get a normal post beep but the monitor goes into power saving. I've swapped it out for my X1900XT and it the system posts ok and temps are fine. I've also put the 3650 into my PC and the same happens, no signal from the monitor through DVI.

I briefly got a scrambled signal using a DVI to VGA adapter, but something was clearly up. Before I RMA this, can anyone think of why this wouldn't be working? As far as I can see, it doesn't draw power from the PSU, just the mobo. Are there known issues with this card?

Card is low power so draws what it needs from the pci-e slot. As it does'nt work in your pc either it look's like you have been unlucky and got a dead one.

Surely if this was completely dead then I'd get a different post beep? The PC sounds like it's booting up ok but there's just no signal to the monitor.

I'm quite confused actually. I'm a bit wary of RMAing it if it's going to be a direct replacement - I'm thinking the replacement may give me the same problem.
