Hi, as i have just got my 3870 i have clocked it as much as i could running 3dmark each time i changed the clock. the maximum i could get to bench was 890MHz on the core and 2800MHz on the memory, this is with the stock cooler and fan on 100%, no volt mods were applied to the card and i got load temps of 41c. i am posting this to see what clocks other people have got on there cards, please state cooling used, any volt mods, core clock, memory clock, and 3dmark score including individual SM2/3 scores. i will add a table when enough scores come in.

Example:

Card: Sapphire 3870 512MB
Cooling: Stock
Maximum Core: 890MHz
Maximum Memory: 2800MHz
3DMark06 Score: 13059
SM2: 5117
SM3: 5541
CPU/Clock: Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 3.2GHz
O/S: Windows Vista Ultimate

This is for both 3870s and 3850s so we can also get a comparison between the 2. table will be ordered by core clock, then memory

This always makes me smile! :D

I only got mine to 770/999 on stock volts and stock single slot cooling.

gt

That's about the average and not a bad clock at all. These cards seem to require a good bit of voltage to get above 850mhz or so. Running 1.45 for my 850mhz...requires 1.55 for 960mhz and 1.65 for 1012mhz. I only went that high to see what she could do :D

mine was 1.27 idle 1.33 load. I think the 3870 is higher

I'm using the HIS IceQ3 bios though, not sure if that has slightly higher voltage than the stock Powercolor 3850

:eek:You sure your mem is running at 2800mhz ? that kinda overclock to me looks impossible unless using dry ice or something else exotic.
