hey guys im looking into upgradeing my 9600gt to one of these. Is the 4870 just as good as the 5770? what are the pros and cons?

Hold fire and wait and see what the 5830 is like when it launches at the end of Jan, begining of Feb.

Or maybe not, it is possible that this is an external card.

ok so i went out and picked up a 4870, but the problem is that it seems my psu dont have enough power for it. Everytime i go to open wow about 2 to 5 mins into running the game it locks my machine up. Now im thinking about taking it back and changeing it for a 5770 vapour x, as thats suppose to use less power + better cooling etc. The whole point of going for the 4870 was to save money, but seeing as it seems i need a new psu, i may aswell pay extra for the 5770, if i can get away with useing that with my current psu.

what do you guys think?

yeah well i saved about £30, wich is good enough seeing as both cards are almost idenetical in performance :p but real shame my psu dont cut it. i think the psu is a 450w the damn thing dont have any labels on it

system specs are:
AMD Phenom 9850 Quadcore 2.51ghz
4 gigs of ram, 2 hdds
Nvidia 9600gt
