ATI and 3d

Oki, thanks for all your posts, it's interesting to follow!

How come, on the CCC if I right click it, I have an option called " 3D settings "?
What are these "3D" settings. Does anyone else see this? I haven't changed to any fancy drivers or anything from 3rd parties.

Also, I just bought two 6850s for my PC, and one of the reasons was for the possible upgrade to 3D. I'm more than a little gutted if it's not possible, it has to be right?
I quote the box:

"Featuring HD3D Technology". So ok,.. how can I view said HD3D technology?

If I'm not mistaken, "3D settings" in that context means settings for 3D games (ie mario 64 (3D) vs super mario bros. (2D)), not stereoscopic 3D.

Ok, brilliant if I can see it. So,.. i'm looking at the Viewsonic FuHzion or iz3d in supported monitors. If I buy one of these my understanding is that I would be only drivers away from a 3D experience. I wonder why ATI don't make kits and such for this?
 
Ok looking into it,.. does not support dual monitor setups ( huge issue for me ), does not support 64bit,.. the list goes on.

More trouble than it's worth maybe :(.

Looks like no 3D for a while for me.
