Being owner of 5850 I can safely say that 'ATI radeon 5850' sounds superior and cooler than 'AMD radeon 5850' .
Bring back ATI !!!
I believe AMD have shot themselves in the foot with ditching ATI brand. So now it will be:
AMD vs Intel and Nvidia
One main company fighting on two fronts against BIG rivals. With ATI there was a balance between 2 GPU brands. Now Intel will be just pounding AMD as usual with it's superior CPUs while Nvidia stretches AMD further into GPU market. Who knows in future Intel and Nvidia may form an unholy alliance as they have only one brand to compete against and destroy AMD.
