ATI catalyst 6.9 pulled? -Ignor user error in counting

Edit: Ignor user error in counting

I went to submit catalyst feedback on the 6.9 drivers, and I could only find reference to 6.8 at the latest despite having downloaded 6.7, 6.8 & 6.9 at once from ATI at some earlier point.

I checked the customer care section and then the driver section and neither had it listed.

I was going to complain that City of Villains after alt tabbing a few times the screen becomes corrupted and killing the game solves it but its quite troublesome.

I went back to 6.8 and the problem was solved.

I also read that 6.8 has some problems when certain options are enabled, fortunately I determined optimal image quality/performance did not include those options.

Im using a x1900xt.

Cat 6.9 is a leaked beta so you will not see it at ATI

I gave up trying to use ATI drivers, they always seem to have one problem or another, 6.8 were the worst for me, it actually caused corruption.

I'm back on 6.2 cats but the Omega version.

You won't have seen the 6.9's on the ATi site as they aint out yet. ;)

Yes thats what i thought, hence the checking.........

oh and i did mention i saw the 6.9 beta's leaked thread... ;)

Ah - I made a mistake. A rather large one.

I have 6.6, 6.7 and 6.8 not 6.7, 6.8 and 6.9!

I see now why there is no trace of 6.9 on ATi's site.

So now I can go use the catalyse feedback form, for my issue with the 6.8s.

I don't know why people get corruption or problems with ATI drivers. I've had a 9800 Pro, X800 and X1900 XTX and never had a problem with software/drivers

Back in the day when I tested every leak, rework and beta I could find aswell as official, there was the odd hiccup. However, I wouldnt get too upset personally if I have to use last months driver and hope that the following month fixes the bug again.

If people really take issue with that, then I think they should consider themselves lucky that thats all they have to get worked up about.

Id rather have consistant updates, useable or not; than 6months between driver releases.
