ATi Catalyst 9.7 Released

Well you can just run the installation and click "custom installation" and select what you want and don't want to install. It's always been like that ;)

So what's the verdict then chaps; are they worth the upgrade or not?

I skipped the 9.6's after hearing bad things...

just ran the initial file and extracted the contents to a folder, the drivers are in there..

Resident Evil 5 is still borked with these cats.

DX10 mode = Flashing Textures + Area 3 very low performance compaired to every other area.

DX9 mode = Texture Perfect, no flashing textures + Area 3 lot better performance but still not quite right.

I have orderd Win 7, and at the mo using Win XP which i think is great ;)
with reference to the gains in graphics performance will this be an even bigger leap from XP to Win 7 and a smaller leap from Vista to Win 7

Will Win 7 make games like Call of Duty 5b run better ??

Cheers

So far not so good for me - CoH is crashing after a few minutes on the 9.7s, going back to 9.6s for the time being.

The new UI is fair enough but where is the Avivo stuff (hue, saturation, temp), am I missing something?

It's there under the desktop and displays part ,you right click on monitor pic and select configure, you'll see it in the Avivo Color tab near top.
