The release notes say it is all bug fixes.

Well, if these are 9.8Hotfix++ Im not exactly complaining, I liked the 9.8 Hotfix driver.

I dont if it was mentioned anywhere but the Legacy drivers were updated with Cat 9.8 (seperate package found through amd.com), so the older dx9 cards can work in win7 now inc crossfire . There basicaly only a fixed cat 9.3 though.

Downloading 9.9 for main machine though, not that I expect them to do much for my 3870 - performance only ever seems to go down now to keep the 4xxx series looking good

Woah I only installed the 9.8 a few weeks ago and now they have released another one?! I suppose it's a good thing

They have a good dedicated driver team that works round the clock sometimes in order to fix issues.

i'm surprised that theres no 5800 series in the .inf of these drivers. because the 5800 series cards are out just under 2weeks.

It'll be like the R600 was, hotfix drivers with a quick inf.

Oh for anyone interested, Resident Evil 5 under crossfire is now completely fixed with these. Crossfire works well, and theres no more texture/shadow flashing under DX10.
Just averaged 78fps on the variable benchmark, DX10, 1920x1200 which I'd say is pretty respectable

the only bug i have with my 4890 still remains unresolved in this latest patch Empire Total War still has no AA. Which actually works in 9.6 =S.

Ahhh, fun times! Gonna go get those right now, 9.8 had some issues with LotRO crashing. Fingers crossed all that's been resolved.

4890 @ 900/1000, Cat 9.8 , GPU 10.750
4890 @ 900/1000, Cat 9.9 , GPU 11.043
1440x900 DX10 RE 5, CAT 9.8 + 4890 @ def, AVG = 98.6 FPS
1440x900 DX10 RE 5, CAT 9.9 + 4890 @ def, AVG = 107.6 FPS FIXED FPS on area 3,4 at RE 5
CPU Q6600 @ 2.4Ghz
