Ati Catalyst install issues

Ive never had this happen to me before, and its getting rather annoying.

I have just installed my new system, fresh windows and all that jazz. However, I am trying to install catalyst 9.4, everything seems to go well until I restart. CCC has installed fine, but will not launch because the actual graphics drivers themselves have not installed.

I have now tried 9.4, 9.3 and 9.2 but none will work. Not even the standalone driver installer works.

Any ideas ? :/

Its a known prob with Win 7 that as well where only the CCC will install, so to install the driver, you have to do it through the Device Manager, update the driver that way by saying you have the disk, and sending it to look in :-

9.4 > Packages > Driver > Display > LH6A_INF

Should work that way.

Using Vista 64. But I shall have a go at that anyway, just to see if it works.

No joy, just says my driver is already up to date, even did a reformat again and still no joy installing any Catalysts :/

Have you tried to install the drivers off of the disc that came with the card .
Have had an issue like this so i used the disc and they worked fine not had any probs since , might be worth a go

Managed to get it sorted now. Checked the files associated with the drivers through device manager and manually deleted them from the Windows system folders, seems they were left behind after I uninstalled the Catalyst.

Works fine now after a reinstall of 9.4

Good to here that. Does driver sweeper work with W7?

Glad you got it sorted.

Not sure how Driver Sweeper could work in Win 7, as its known to cause problems in Vista.
