ATI CCC Advice?

Hi there,

Just received my triple monitors today. I've heard you can setup profiles in CCC. So I can switch between a 5760x1080 res back to an extended desktop where each monitor is independent.

I've had a little play and can't seem to get it to work. If anyone could advise me on the best way to go about this, or any other eyefinity/triple monitor tips. I'd love to hear them.

Cheers.

ccc seems to have a mind of its own setting up eyefinity, i set up eyefinty first then create a profile then save, then setup extended desktop and save also, sorry i cant give better advice, i just kept fiddling with it untill it worked

Have you looked through the hotkey menus in CCC?

I haven't got eyeinfinity, just dual monitors..... but I setup a hotkey to switch the primary monitor when I feel like it. Not sure if it'll help changing between eyeinfinity setups, but its worth a look.

Is a profile just a preset in CCC? It is a pain in the arse and not very easy. It keeps reverting back also when I choose extended. They really could and should make it easier. I'm not exactly inexperienced either when it comes to computers and you would think setting up triple monitors would be a doddle.

Make 2 Profiles.

One extended & one EyEfinity & set a hot key for each one & make sure your in each mode when you save the profiles.

That's what I'm trying to do lol. It's not proving terribly easy :(

When I save the eyefinity preset and load it. All my desktops are cloned and not one large one. I have to click on the re-enable eyefinity group and it seems to work then ok.

I've managed to save the extended desktop OK now.

How do I make my certain monitor the main one with the taskbar on it etc? It's currently the left one.

When I choose my middle monitor to be the one with the taskbar on it. I then create the preset. Yet when I switch off it and back on, the taskbar returns to the left monitor.

Any ideas?

Anyone got any ideas how to solve my little niggle ^^^

I've been trying for hours now to no avail. It's a pain to have to go in to CCC everytime and manually change it, every single time I exit a game.

Make sure that the middle monitor is Number 1.

But... Surely then it wouldn't be in a line?

If the middle monitor is number one, then I'll have to drag things off of the right monitor onto the left. It feels weird and unnatural.

It would then have to go like that ^ Hope my diagram makes sense.

1. Create an Eyefinity display. Go through all the adjustments and bezel corrections. Then you have an Eyefinity setup.
2. Then press Windows+P and land on Extend.
3. Go into Right Click desktop > Screen resolution. Set the displays in there to be correctly setup, i.e. screen order
4. Windows + P should work now!

I have 6048x Eyefinity and then 5760 triple monitors. Trust me, if done correctly, it should work

No it does not work like that.

Its the order on how they are laid out in CCC left to right that counts & not the number starting from left to right like you think.

This is how i have mine currently ^^^

You can swap numbers by right clicking & then selecting another number to swap with then you can physically drag the screens in to the correct display order afterwards.

Both of my examples are displaying in the correct order & make sure that the middle one is set to primary, but for the sake of quirkiness i like to have my Primary as number 1, by default number 1 will become the primary if no other is set by the user to be primary.

Also try BaDBoY_uK suggestion but you can not swap numbers that way, you can only drag the order.

Yeah, although you cannot swap numbers, it does not matter. My system remembers the "duplicate" config and also the "extend" config.

My system even swaps to single display on the LG 50" LCD when I turn my home cinema on and also swaps over to ATI HDMI audio... frickin' sexy man.

Extend = three monitors with the primary one being the central one
Duplicate = 3 screen (3x1) Eyefinity
Projector Only = LG 50"

I use extended when working as I can make excel and word full screen but only on one screen. 'Snapping' something in EF mode makes it go all the way across the 3 screens. It's also helpful when watching 3 porn flicks... lol!

Awesome tbh and I love it. Windows+P!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some peoples setup have issues with remembering the arrangement & that's why i have tried to compensate for the quirky factor.
