ATI CCC problem

Well, I bought myself a second HD4850 to stick in crossfire with the other one, and after doing so nearly all of CCC is missing. The box for enable crossfire is there, but theres only that tab and one labelled diagnostics, which contains pretty much nothing. Ive tried an uninstall, ran driversweeper and reinstalled the whole driver/CCC bundle but its still doing it. The setup is on a Win7 Ultimate Beta install. Before crossfire it was working fine and dandy as well.
Anyone know whats causing this or how to fix it?
Cheers, BDBMX.

I havent tried unplugging a card, but I did try disabling crossfire. The drivers are the latest off the ATI site, and the bridge is connected. I just stuck one bridge on the ports nearest the back of the case, that is right isnt it?I could put another one on but I didnt think you were meant to.

Yes you need 2 bridges.

There is also a chance driver sweeper has removed something important, can you reinstall Win 7?

you know i never thought about driver sweeper breaking win7. but it does make sense how it can.

it shall no longer be useing such programme but has a win7 version been developed yet or something similar

i think its happened to me before as well, when i took my 2nd 4850 out the CCC was back in action. try running in safe mode and installing the drivers by SM

Probably does as its known to hose Vista, doesn't properly clean, removes stuff you need, and can leave stuff from your drivers behind, where after using, you can't get any drivers at all on, so the only way to get them back on, is a full re-install of Windass.

Ive said it many times, but always been flamed by people swearing it works fine with no problems in Vista, and im talking oot me ass, but i know, as ive had it hose, so ive never touched it since. :)

I'll second that, I will never use any of those progs again with ATI hardware anyway as each time i've used one or other, I have had to reinstall windows as they won't let me install another driver again.

Bit of a thread resurrection here, since I just remembered I still have the problem ;P Ive just reinstalled windows 7 ultimate, with clean setup, first thing I installed was ATI drivers and low and behold same issue. This is with 2 bridges as well by the way. Really annoyed with this, its the latest drivers and the cards been out long enough that they should know about this.
So does anyone know what the fix is?

Pretty please?

Did you try the earlier suggestion of running with one card in and what was the result? If everything else reappeared in the CCC then I'm going to go with insufficient power supply to the dual card setup.

I don't run CrossFire but did experience an absence of Overdrive options when I had additional hard drives in my system.
