Is any one having trouble with the new ATI Drivers.

The reason i ask is that i am. I keep getting BSOD when i restart after installing them and have to do a Last known good.

Now this has happend on ver 6.3, 6.4 and 6.5. Im using 6.2 on a A8R-MVP, 4400+, Asus X1900 XT-X with win pro x64.

Tried the 64bit from the ATI site and the Asus site both with the same prob. Just wondering if anyone knows way round it

Also on the BSOD is a STOP Error which seems to be the ATI2MTAG.sys File which is causing it

Hmm not sure whats going on there. Ive used versions 6.3, 6.4 and 6.5 on this rig and had not a single issue.

Have you tried ATIs support? It may already be in a FAQ or something. All I can think of is either something is wrong with the hardware [unlikely] or it is down to the fact you are using x64...

Get rid of them!

I removed them and installed OMEGA drivers.

1) System boots faster
2) Performance is better
3) HL2 EP1 doesn't jam every 5 mins
4) No "display error" problems during installation

etc etc

You can tweak the normal Catalyst drivers to be just as good, if not better than the Omegas. If you know how ;)

No problems here using the 6.5's either, installed fine, you could also try the NGO drivers as well, as they are just the CAT's but with the old CP instead of the CCC. :)
