Hey guys, every time i go to ATI's website for the latest drivers/CCC for my Radeon 5770 and download/install them... after the restart windows cant find the new drivers so i have to un-install and start again with the out of box drivers....

Any help?

Im on windows 7 and pc specs in sig.

After installing the drivers, open device manager, where it says "display adapters" open the + sign and then right click on the card and go to "properties" or double click it. If your card is not under "display adapters" but shown as "VGA controller" elsewhere then do the same to that (right click and properties or double click with left mouse). Go to the drivers tab and then to update drivers. Now choose to manually update the drivers and navigate to the AMD folder on your C: drive using "have disk" to begin the search.

Find the driver and then that should install. I don't know if it will help but it's worth a shot. Good luck.

Tried it once already... but will try again soon.

nvidia give you alittle report to tell you what was installed, ati didnt do that :( make sure you have driver sweeped the old drivers off.
ati cards normally switch off the display and back on again then you know the drivers have been activated.

It took a bit of messing about to get my xfire to work, in the end i uninstalled the drivers, ran driver sweeper in safe mode then installed the drivers from the disc and then the latest drivers over the top of the old ones and that worked for me

uninstall the graphics drivers from control panel. delete the graphics adapter, do a rescan on the device manager, let windows install default drivers. RESTART. then install ati drivers and restart. see if that works. i used have this problem ages ago. that is how i fixed it.
