ATi Eyefinity

Looked pretty good on the xplane demo a couple of week's back, will be intresting to see who takes it on board.

Id rather have a giant monitor if they can get itto work than 3 monitos with giant horrible black lines from the mintor edges on. Guess we need to wait for monitos with n frame to come out and make it worth it.

don't know why many of ya r so exited ... ONE BIG MONITOR and job done.
all this lines are so annoying...and so ugly

Because you don't understand that FOV= Field Of Vision is greater with 3 monitors.

If you try to match 3 monitor FOV on a single standard widescreen monitor you end up with a huge fish effect.

3 monitors is the way to do it i think, or 9. With 6 (as in the video above) your crosshair will be invisible because of the screen borders! Very inpractical when playing something where you actually need to aim at something...

understanding and like is different ! :)

read review, and many hae same opinion :)

As you said above one which is nothing like your claiming as there would be no need to mention one big monitor as that has nothing to do with FOV which you will get with 3 monitors.
So get one big monitor instead you said which are nothing alike.

is valid, but the big monitor instead part is not.

this will be very cool when it does come out, to be completely honest im not too concerned about black lines on either side of the screen. Im using 3 monitors at the moment (from 2 different pc's) and the lines really didnt get in the way as much as you might think - its just when they run right through the centre that you will run into problems...unless its an rts or something.

Also on the topic of FOV and big screens.....a big screen with a "normal" scaled resolution is not the way forward. I remember seeing a monitor a few days ago which is basically 3 screens glued together with no bezel (i think it was an NEC) and that seemed very promising :D

sorry for the double post but here is the article to that screen, very interesting!

yeah, I don't like using multi as one screen as the damm border will annoy the hell out of me, just use a single big screen or projector :D

Again its not about size its about increasing field of view which neither of your alternatives would provide by themselves.

Very cool but i think new monitors need to be made with very thin or glass boarders haha, not liking the lines :(

Frameless monitors will be possible, I'd say.

Samsung/LG? will release them soonish, but honestly once u get involved in the game on 3 screens u dont notice the bezel. U do notice if it's an even number of screens cos ur sight sits between two screens.
