Hi, I'm moving from an old ati card to a 7600gt. Just have some simple questions, having last used nvidia in the riva128 days;

- Do nvidia package their drivers like ati, with a minimal set, with optional control panel?

- Are they are cleaning routines to follow when swopping cards?

Thanks

Nvidia drivers are Unified, with only a language option to choose.

Run driver cleaner in safe mode, remove old card, boot with new card in safe mode and check all the ATI stuff is clear.

Boot to windows, ignoring windows' 'Found new hardware' suggestions and install the Nvidia forceware drivers, follow instruction to reboot and you'll be sorted.

Nvidia drivers come as one package with the CP included. I use Detonator Destroyer when changing from one set of nvidia drivers to another.

I did the same recently and Drivercleaner worked fine, I was expecting a rebuild but so far no problems.

except having to delete all me config files in a couple of games to get them to run so i could force a safe default first run.
