Hey,

ATI Overdrive, has kept some quite high clocks from a failed attempt. I cant load ccc or system starts to freeze. I've tryed loading ccc and other clocking progrems to set clocks back down to lower amounts but no luck so far.

Any simple way to reset ati overdrive without loading ccc?

About to uninstall/reinstall but not expecting it to help, been googleing same issue.. but no suggested fix's.

tried starting in safe mode and deleting the settings in ccc that way?

CCC Wont start in safemode due to no ati driver running :/

I was in the process of setting sapphire trixx to startup just after ccc. When i decided to uninstall 11.8 ccc, install 11.10 preview ccc. CCC refused to start. Complately removed ati drivers then put 11.8 back on.

CCC was back to stardard settings. Just removing it and reinstalling didnt work. Changing versions seem to effect settings.

There really should be an easier way than switching driver versions and installing again.

could try deleteing the profiles saved for ccc.

Under windows 7 there normally stored in
c:/Users/(your name folder)/AppData/Local/ATI/ACE.

or were while i used a 4870 setting its fan speed.

I'll try that if it happens again, tbh normally overdrive wont save settings when it fails. But this didnt cause a bsod, could hear videos playing in the background still, just displays went either black or white. (slight differences on reboots)

Either way.. fixed now.
