Damn, had hoped these would have came in sub £300. At £350 i'll be waiting to see the pricing of Nvidia's offerings and if they affect these cards at all.

I've never paid much attention to benchmarks, are these on par with a 580? What about heat and power usage? Any other benches out there at the moment with these details? I have a corsair VX 550w PSU and would rather not have to buy another PSU.

Although the card here didn't unlock it's still possible that others will. We just don't know yet.

Doubt it, I've been told they won't unlock at all, not after what happened with the HD6950s. It would mean fewer people getting the HD7970.

More than likely the 7970 waterblocks should work on the reference 7950.
