ATM giving out the wrong money

A lot of machines limit the daily withdrawal to £250. From my bank I can take out £300 (my daily limit), but from lots of machines it says £250 maximum.

You just do multiple transactions.

Had to do this when buying a dinghy in the Caribbean. £2,000 across various cards and cash machines to get the right amount. Proper pain in the ass.

I had a simuler thing happen, wanted £150 out of the machine and nothing came out but on checking the bank account the £150 had been debited from the account. phone call to the bank gave them the details and had a refund within a hour.
