Got an interview with ATOS Origin later this week and im pretty nervous

not usually nervous for interviews but this is a big company offering a good job, salary and benefits and im worried ill mess it up somehow

being a large IT company im sure someone on OcUK has at least gone for an interview with them

what should i expect want to be as prepared as possible

its for a tech support role

Thanks

They will ask you stuff.

Probably stuff related to the job you applied for.

well i figured they might but i am asking if there will be any testing or other surprises.....

I think it was Huddy who wrote a very good interview guide. I am sure a search will find it.

yes seen it great guide but i was hoping someone had specific experience with ATOS

Wouldn't expect it to be too bad ... well they employed me ;)

You say Tech Support, is it Unix, Wintel, Desktop or Apps and where is it if you don't mind me asking? (I am aware of some interviews going on at the moment in area near to me so I'm interested if yours is related to those)

If it's Unix then expect some technical questions (but not to bad if you know what you say you know on your CV (questions are tailored to that normally)).

edit: oh and in general AO tend to be very hot on change control so don't forget to mention it and if they ask about arranging work don't forget to mention change control reviews and back out plans.

You might get brownie points if you can mention something about AO's involvement with the Olympics (IT integration)

actually the job is working directly with the Olympics

Currently we are having exciting opportunity for Service Desk Level 1 to join our Major Events business area from where we design, build, implement, test, and run the whole of the IT environment for each Olympic Games. This is a 3 years contract.

Key responsibilities:
• First point of contact for users with Technology related incidents,
• Receive calls and handle emails from users in relation to any Technology incident

will probably research as much as i can and take print outs to read just before i go in

well for those that care had the interview and got the feedback today

didn't get it

while they were impressed with my technical knowledge they said i didn't show enough enthusiasm for the role

but that's just the way i am im not one of the bubbly types im pretty laid back in everything....

/shrug
