Not sure what the joke is, but shooty heli wise, number one on my list would be Comanche v's Havoc.

Call it a sim come shooter, it's ease of accessibility plays to both. A great game

Real oldschool, LHX attack chopper, a peach on the megadrive, there's a version for the pc.
