Hello,
I went to my PC this morning to write a letter. The PC is a self-build. Upgraded to Windows 10 form 7 last year around about the time the gate shut on free upgrades.
Anyway - a message flashed up about DRIVER_STATE_POWER_FAILURE and I'm now in an "Attempting Repairs" loop of hell. I haven't installed anything new for ages and ages.
I created a media USB but can't even seem to use that to boot into safe mode (there literally isn't an option to do so). I can't help thinking my only option is to reinstall windows from scratch, but I don't want to if I can avoid it (having to reinstall all my programs will be a pain, not to mention having to take out the SSD to recover stuff off the Desktop).
I did try the command prompt from the recovery media USB - a DIR of C: shows nothing for some reason. I suppose I'm not in administrator mode?
Anyway - any tips gladly received!
Cheers!
