Attention Stampcollectors! Stamp Valuation Advice

that would be ridiculously difficult to collect though wouldn't it?
you collect far more stamps by keeping the ones that are sent to you from around the world..
maybe but it would also mean they were worth something.

i'd imagine profesional stamp collectors want unused pristine condition stamps , maybe it is ridiculously difficult but thats also going to be the reason some stamps are worth stupendous amounts of money

In general mint (unused) is always worth more due to the rareity (more stamps available which has been through the system whereas with old stamps, somebody had to conscioulsly buy the stamp and not use it)

There are some "rare" exceptions where the country or the stamp means something plus there are "special" first day editions done by the post office where the date stamp is the first day of release so does not de-value it.

The rarest and most valuable stamps are the ones with printing mistakes and should never have been released to the public and detsoyed eg queens head backwards etc.

Ok, stamp number 6 is a Danish set from 1964. Is anyone enjoying this thread :p ?
