Dear all, during the last few days I've had some horrendous issues with a chap I have bought a number of items from on eBay.

Basically what's happened is that I won an auction for an item, paid by PayPal on 30th September and it hasn't arrived. Yesterday I sent the guy an e-mail asking where it was and in the ensuing e-mail exchange he's basically told me it's hard luck if it hasn't arrived because I didn't pay for the postal insurance.

I am not really sure what to do now, because he's basically being abusive and threatening in his e-mails to me. He has a feedback of over 6000 and has basically suggested that no-one would believe me and if I continue getting in touch then he will wreck my feedback.

I think it's completely unfair, because if I leave him negative feedback to the effect that I paid for the items but never recieved them, he can leave me negative feedback even though I did pay for the item!

Advise please!

How did you pay?

And you are aware you accidently posted at OcUK about an eBay problem, when eBay have their own forums for this stuff? ;)

And this is what you're looking for.

I paid by PayPal.

I didn't accidentally post here, I posted on purpose. You guys know it all so I'll ask people I can trust over eBay Forum n00bs any day of the week TBH ;)

If the goods haven't arrived soon, then inform Paypal.

And there's a very good chance, you will get your money back.

Also i had a Ebay problem a couple of weeks ago, so i thought about posting here but instead posted on Ebay's boards.

Got a reply in minutes explaining every step i need to do :)

go into paypal and raise a dispute, make sure you keep all emails from him as this is blackmail. he is threatening your feedback rating and ebay do take a dim view of this.

Iirc the seller is responsible for making sure the item is recieved by you in the same condition as it was sold. Its not your fault it got lost in the post. The seller is responsible for the item until you recieve it.

As you have not recieved the item the seller should if possible resend the item or give a refund.

I would post on the E-bay forums. Whenever ive need e-bay help i been able to get it there.
