Audacity

I’ve been trying to use Audacity but can’t get it connected to my Pioneer DJM A9 so I can record directly instead of having to use other recording software first then importing the set to Audacity.

I’m using a USB B - USB A from the A9 into my laptop. I have the drivers updated and all settings correct as far as I can see. Everything else works with the same cable, and I’ve tried two A9’s and both won’t connect.

Any help much appreciated.

Seems you need the correct driver installed and then a settings app also.

I used Sony Sound Forge back in the day for recording mixes. Could maybe get a free trial of that to test different software if you wanted.

Tried Windows WASAPI instead of DirectSound?

I use audacity to record my Twitch streams. I use a traktor s4 controller with a focusrite 4i4 audio controller. I just set the record output in audacity to the ch1/2 of the 4i4. Works a treat and doesn't record my mic audio.

Thanks for the reply’s.

Unfortunately my mixer isn’t compatible due to the ASIO driver.

Wish I had of seen this earlier because I’ve spent days trying to troubleshoot.
